Good afternoon bloggies! It was slightly on the bore side but I got through my planned 8.5 miles on the treadmill... yay! I'm increasing by .5 miles each week for my 1/2 marathon training. I ended up making the orange, ginger smoothie with vanilla protein powder and it was an excellent choice! This was had in the gym immediately post run.
I wanted to show you my treadmill set up for a long run...
One cup holder for big water bottle and paper towels, one for fuel, camera and phone, Ipod in the middle and magazine because I hate to watch the numbers
I actually had to pee .56 miles in so really I ran 8.56 miles (WHOA) in three different increments
This was the second (really at 5.56)
I watched Julie and Julia on my Ipod for entertainment =)
And this was the third
Super sweaty and happy to be done!
I had this much gatorade and one dried pineapple chunk because my legs were cramping and I felt a wall coming when I had 2 miles left
I break my treadmill runs up for a few reasons, it kicks you off after 60 minutes but I like to have nice round numbers to add up quickly and two it's a great mental trick! Once I started over today I told myself "alright, quick easy three miler today, ain't nothin", this totally works for me.
Lunch is now being enjoyed in the form of
Egg white, spinach, red pepper and cheese wrap with Mrs. Dash tomato basil garlic salt
Pyramid o' honey wheat twist
"Fruit Salad" (weekend addiction)
Ketchup and siracha
Plans for the day,
